Organizers summed up the atmosphere best:
„Five days of world-class beach volleyball, packed stands, medal celebrations, and tears after tough losses – that was the 8th edition of J&T Banka Ostrava Beach Pro. Once again, fans created an unforgettable atmosphere. From the opening serve to the final point, Lower Vítkovice hosted stories that confirmed Ostrava as one of the most iconic stops on the global tour."
The most dramatic matches came during the medal rounds in both the men’s and women’s categories. Schweiner and Perušič fell to Norwegian Olympic champions Anders Mol and Christian Sørum in a tight semifinal (1:2), but bounced back to defeat Michał Bryl and Bartosz Łosiak from Poland in straight sets (2:0) to secure bronze. Gold went to Sweden’s David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig.
In the women’s competition, Brazilian pair Thamela and Viktoria triumphed over Latvian duo Anastasija Samoilova and Tina Graudiņa in the final. Bronze was claimed by Switzerland’s Anouk Vergé-Dépré and Zoé Vergé-Dépré.
The tournament was proudly supported by the City of Ostrava as one of its key institutional partners.
