Angel Academy in Ostrava for the first time!

31/5 2018

On June 7, you'll have a unique opportunity to meet with venture capitalists and angel investors. MSIC and the Keiretsu Forum are organising a meeting on venture capital investing. If you lack the funds to start your business or just need advice on how to make a project attractive to investors, do not hesitate and come!

You can get information from the most experienced people in the field. Hosted by Jan Slavíček, the meeting will include speakers such as Vladislav Jež, who has been involved in venture capital since 1994 and, as a managing partner of JV Capital Management and Czech Venture Partners, has actively participated in four venture capital funds with a total of 24 realised investments, and Miroslav Habrnal, expert in the preparation and evaluation of business plans, who also specialises in the ROI of investment projects and in demanding financial models. Other speakers include Pavel Csank, a leading Czech expert in innovation policy and the executive director of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre. In 2012–2016, Pavel Csank and his colleagues from JIC (South-Moravian Innovation Centre) participated in setting up and implementing the Regional Innovation Strategy of the South-Moravian Region and the services of JIC. He has a detailed knowledge of the corporate environment in the Czech Republic. Among other speakers is also Míla Felčárek, an investor with more than 25 years of experience, who primarily focuses on private equity and venture capital investments in developing markets. He has gained extensive experience in the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Brazil and elsewhere.

In the afternoon session, we have included three interactive workshops. Vladislav Jež will introduce you to venture capital and company growth, Míla Felčárek will tell you how to make your project attractive to investors and Marek Habrnal will have a workshop on correct start-up valuation.

Have your questions ready, it will be a meeting where you will learn a lot of useful information from practice!

The event will take place on Thursday, 7 June 2018 at 9am, in the VIVA building of the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre.
