Ostrava presented at EXPO REAL its great potential
The City of Ostrava attended Expo Real for already the 15th year in a row. The exhibition stand and program was organized in partnership with Asental, Multi Czech Republic, PRK Partners, CASUA and UBM Bohemia Development. Thanks to the traditional as well as to new co-exhibiting partners the investors obtained an overall view of the entire region and investment opportunities in the area.
One of the City´s largest projects on display, Ostrava-Mošnov Industrial Zone, has a new investor – Hyundai Mobis. This company intends to purchase an 18.9-hectare area to develop its project and receive an incentive bonus estimated at CZK 65 million. In addition, the investor itself will make a total investment in Ostrava of approximately CZK 4.0 billion. Ostrava also presented the latest facts about the Science and Technology Park, including the IT4Innovations Centre of Excellence (IT4I). Incidentally, new areas for lease totalling 5,298 m2 have been created since multipurpose buildings III and IV were developed.
Also this year, the City representatives have been working hard on the plan of the connection between the historical centre and Černá louka with surrounding natural area of the Ostravice River. Recent years have already seen the rehabilitation of the embankment, running along the whole length of it, from the city centre to the municipal park – there are cycle paths and terraces with benches and spots for sunbathing.
