EU Programmes and Projects
The Statutory City of Ostrava makes extensive use of the availability of European Union structural funding to finance its own development projects. The Czech Republic’s EU accession has brought a wide range of new opportunities for funding. The City aims to take the maximum possible advantage of these opportunities by preparing and submitting high-quality projects.
During the pre-accession period (before 2004), and after accession as part of the previous EU planning period (2004-2006), the Statutory City of Ostrava including municipal districts and City-controlled organizations received a total of CZK 908,807,000 of funding to support 33 development projects.
