Hrabová
The Ostrava-Hrabová Industrial Zone is a strategic development locality for the City of Ostrava. Projects in the zone have got the fundamental importance for higher economic attractiveness of the city and job creation. The total area of the land equipped with the infrastructure within the industrial zone is 110 hectares.
In 2004, the Ostrava-Hrabová Industrial Zone was awarded 1st prize in the category "Zone with the Biggest Positive Social Contribution" organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. In 2005, it was awarded 2nd place in the same area. In the same category, CTP Invest’s project CTPark Ostrava won first prize in the category “Industrial park with the greatest economic benefit” for 2007.
Zone Location:
The zone is located at the southern edge of the city, directly along one of the best access roads in the region - I/56 Ostrava - Frýdek-Místek, which later connects to the I/48 to Prague and Brno, as well as Poland, Slovakia and Austria. The zone is located in the residential part of the city with 120 thousand inhabitants, and is very well served by public transportation. The region itself has a strong educational base, providing investors with the people they need to make their projects work.

Technical Infrastructure:
The technological infrastructure of the industrial zone ensures satisfactory capacities of water, gas, heat, and power supplies for the current investors, and for the extended 40 hectare area.
The transport infrastructure ensures the capacity connection with the fast traffic road I/56 in the direction towards the Centre of Ostrava and towards Frýdek-Místek and Příbor. The industrial zone is served by two regular public transport lines.

Mošnov
The Ostrava-Mošnov Strategic Industrial Zone is a unique environment for investors interested in taking advantage of the long-term renewal process taking place in industry and manufacture in the region.
The zone is fully open to modern commercial activities, expecially those focusing on exports, and technological innovation. Particularly favoured is the co-operation with local manufacturers and suppliers.
The zone is accredited by the agency for international investments, CzechInvest, and strongly supported by the state.

Zone Location:
The zone is situated 25 km south of the city centre and it is very accessible for transport by road, railway or plane. There is a commercial-enterprising area immediately at the zone for small and medium-size enterprises. There is also a 30 hectare commercial-enterprising area immediately at the zone for small and medium-size enterprises. There are spaces suitable for administration purposes in the area, which are for hire.

Areas already occupied by investors : 85 ha
Area set aside for a strategic investor : 45 ha
Technical Infrastructure:
The building of infrastructure at SPZ Ostrava-Mošnov is being implemented over several phases. Currently phase I has been implemented, and implementation of phases II, III and IV are ongoing.
Phase I included the following construction works – outer networks:
- Storm sewers
- Wastewater sewerage
- Airport wastewater treatment facility
- Relay of Airport main transformer sub-station
- Cable connections
- Relay of 22kV cables
This phase was completed in June 2009.
Phase II includes the following construction works:
- Water mains from the water tower Petřvald II – outer networks
- New water tower Petřvald II – outer networks
- Wastewater sewerage – inner networks
- Storm sewers – inner networks
Phase III includes the following construction works:
- Protective embankment
- Placement of soil ZPF Fryčovice
- Relay of water mains LO – inner network
Phase IV includes the following construction works – inner networks:
- Road PZ Mošnov – R58
- Public lighting
- Roads within industrial zone
Completion of phases II-IV shall be reached by May 2010.
Further phases are currently being prepared. This mainly concerns the following construction works: relay of gas pipelines, relay of the Albrechtický brook and bridge structures on road II/464. Completion of further phases is planned for the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011.
Aside from the aforementioned basic infrastructure of the zone, the Moravian Silesian Region has prepared a project for rail connection of Leoš Janáček Airport Ostrava. Rail connection shall also be utilised by investors in the industrial zone, which should bring a significant change in materials and goods transport from road to rail transport. Last but not least it is necessary to mention that a relay of the speedway I/58 (so-called northern by-pass of the
municipality of Mošnov ) is in the competency of the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic .
An amount of CZK 2.7 billion shall be invested in preparation of SPZ Ostrava-Mošnov, of which CZK 1.148 billion is the maximum support of the state through the agency CzechInvest and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the City of Ostrava is financing around CZK 500 million, and the remainder of costs are covered by other entities (distribution companies, investors, the EU, the State Fund for Transport Infrastructure, the Railway Infrastructure Authority and the Moravian Silesian Region).
