The international jury of the architectural competition for the New Bazaly Stadium, chaired by renowned Irish architect Valerie Mulvin, has convened for the final time. During its last meeting, the jury deliberated over the four finalist proposals for the design of the football stadium and determined their ranking to the best of its judgement.

Representatives of the City of Ostrava welcomed a delegation from the Ukrainian partner city of Dnipro to the historic New City Hall. The delegation was led by Borys Filatov, Mayor of this major central Ukrainian metropolis. Ostrava and Dnipro established their partnership in May 2024, and since then, the two cities have actively cooperated in the fields of education, culture, and youth exchange.

The Ostrava City Council has approved funding for the Fajna Zastávka project – a new community space in Ostrava-Kunčičky. Thanks to a CZK 200,000 grant from the Creating Spaces (Tvoříme prostor) programme, the area in front of St. Anthony of Padua Church will be further developed into a welcoming hub for local residents and visitors.
