VŠB-TU Ostrava (Main Auditorium)

The modern auditorium is found on the campus of the Ostrava Technical University in Ostrava-Poruba. It is a traditional spot for holding international conferences, celebrations, graduations and cultural programmes. The building’s suspended hallways connect to the university library and other university buildings. The auditorium is closed off by the academic square with amphitheatre.

The building’s main hall seats 465, and includes galleries with booths for journalists and interpreters, and director’s area. Lecture halls, a multipurpose hall and the so-called rector’s room are used for conferences or workshops. The main auditorium is equipped with the most modern technology, is fully wheelchair accessible and features an underground 40-space parking lot.
