Ostrava to present its investment potential at prestigious Munich event
Ostrava's presentation at this year's EXPO REAL in Munich will be the fourteenth time the City has showcased its investment potential at this prestigious event. This year Ostrava will be appearing jointly alongside its partner the Moravian-Silesian Region – enabling investors to gain a complete overview of the full range of investment opportunities available in Ostrava and the Region as a whole.
Ostrava will be represented by the Mayor Tomáš Macura, with support from five key commercial partners: Asental Group, CTP, HB Reavis Group, Multi Czech Republic and PRK Partners. The City's presentation will also include an accompanying programme of events, which will be launched at the Ostrava stand from 15:00 on Tuesday 6 October.
The presentation will allow Ostrava to showcase its potential in a wide range of areas to investors and business partners. Investors have been showing intense interest in the Moravian-Silesian Region since July 2014, when Hyundai Mobis finalized its decision to invest at the Ostrava-Mošnov Industrial Zone – one of the projects which forms the core of Ostrava's presentation at this year's EXPO REAL. Ostrava has also proved its value for investors in IT and research-driven sectors, reflected in the ongoing expansion of the Ostrava Science and Technology Park (STP). The most recent new arrival at the Park is CGI IT Czech Republic, a major provider of consultancy and other ICT services. Two brand-new multifunctional buildings were opened at the STP in July of this year, offering premises with a total area of 5 298 m2. The R&D facilities at the Park are now nearing 100% occupancy, and plans are in place to expand the site by 26.5 ha in the upcoming years.
